1. Overview
Financial Freedom is an offline-first mobile app that helps you track financial goals. By design, your financial data is stored primarily on your device. There is no account creation, advertising, or behavioral tracking.
2. Data Collected
The app processes the following data that you enter and stores it on your device:
- Financial information: Income, expenses, portfolio assets, BES accounts (Turkey), recurring transactions, scenarios, and financial freedom calculations
- Personalization preferences: Display name, theme, accent color, motivation notes
- App settings: Pro status, notification preferences, last report period, language preference, etc.
This data is not sent to our servers and is not shared with third parties.
3. Storage and Security
- Data is stored in an encrypted local database (SQLCipher) on your device.
- The database passphrase is stored in the device's secure storage.
- Uninstalling the app removes local data (except device backups; see Section 8).
4. Third-Party Services
When you use certain features, the app may contact external services:
- Live prices: CoinGecko, Yahoo Finance, Frankfurter, gold-api.com, TEFAS (Turkey funds, Turkish locale only)
- In-app purchases: Apple App Store / Google Play Store
These services receive only the data required for the request (e.g. fund symbol). Your personal financial records are not uploaded.
5. Notifications
The app may send local notifications for milestones, monthly reports, upcoming transactions, BES reminders (Turkish locale), and weekly check-ins. You can disable notifications in system settings.
6. Export and Import
Pro users can export data as JSON, Excel, or PDF. Exports are created on your device. You are responsible for securing exported files.
7. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Backups
Device OS backups (iCloud, Google Backup) may include the encrypted database. We do not control third-party backup policies.
9. Your Rights
Because data stays on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app or using in-app reset/export features.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change accordingly.
